Today is the official start of season two of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” on Logo and I can not wait!
Apparently, Time Warner got my threatening e-mails to “add Logo or else.” Now, I can watch it on Monday, on TV instead of on the website on Tuesday. I’m so excited.
For those of you who didn’t watch last season, this show combines my two favorite things, drag queens and reality show competitions. We all know that RuPaul is the epitome of drag superstardom and who better to guide these local drag superstars into becoming national stars on the drag circuit?
Last season, we saw the the likes of the young and gorgeous Rebecca Glasscock, the awesome performer Shanelle, everybody’s favorite “Loca” Nina Flowers, that motor mouth Wendy Williams and the winner, the elegant Bebe Zahara Benet. Wait, one of those is wasn’t on the show. *devil horns*
Like all reality shows, there is a formula they must follow to complete the cast. Because I’m sure the majority of, if not all, of the drag performers are gay, there’s no need to cast a gay one. There has to be a latino/a to spice things up. There’s a black one. A weird one. One who is overweight. And then of course, there’s the bitch!
So prepare yourself, kiddies. We’re in for a bumpy ride. Watch with me at 9 p.m., and “don’t f$%k it up!”
